Easy Tomato Pasta Sauce
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 (28-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons tomato paste
- ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
- In a medium saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. When oil is hot, add onion and saute until softened, about 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook another 2 minutes.
- Stir in tomatoes (with juice), tomato paste, and oregano. Simmer, uncovered, about 25 minutes.
