Teriyaki Meatballs

Ingredients: (Conversion Chart)

  • 1 large egg white, lightly beaten
  • ¼ cup minced scallions
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1½ pounds ground pork
  • ½ cup thick teriyaki sauce and marinade

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk egg white, scallions, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and pepper until blended. Mix the pork in with your hands until combined. Shape mixture into 30 (1½-inch) balls.
  3. Spray a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray, and heat over medium heat. Add half the meatballs and saute until lightly browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Saute remaining meatballs.
  4. Place meatballs on a lined baking sheet and brush with teriyaki sauce. Bake in preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, brushing once with remaining sauce, until cooked through and glazed.
